Parent Training

PBP recommends that parents participate in parent training to assist in their child’s behavioral intervention plan. Parent training is an important component that will help children generalize skills learned during therapy into their natural environment and with multiple caregivers. 

Some of the skills discussed during parent training are the following: 

• Communication skills 

• Behavior reduction 

• Transitions

• Toilet training 

• Functional living skills

• Social skills
